Tourism Corporation Bonaire shares a recap of the outcome of PR efforts of May

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) is pleased to announce the results of the different public relations efforts in partnership with Bonaire’s PR agency, Diamond Public Relations, for the month of May 2024.
In May 2024, Bonaire received a mix of digital, print, and social media coverage, resulting in an overall reach of 17.8 million in North American markets and 6.3 million in European markets.
Top Highlights – North America
Top highlights from May include exciting coverage of the announcement of JetBlue flights to Bonaire on TravelAndLeisure.com and TravelOffPath.com, TravelAgentCentral.com, as a result of the agency pitching.
Bonaire was also featured in a stunning article on MatadorNetwork.com, in a story about the best shore diving destinations in the world, as a result of pitching. Bonaire is the first to be mentioned in the piece and is highlighted for having more than 80 dive sites and its National Marine Park that protects the entire coastline. The story also lists dive resorts available on the island, such as Buddy Dive Resort, Captain Don’s Habitat, Harbour Village Beach Club, and Divi Flamingo Beach Resort. Furthermore, Bonaire was also highlighted on Veranda.com, in a story about the 17 most beautiful Caribbean islands, where Bonaire was showcased for its colorful architecture in Kralendijk, protected marine park, and Harbour Village Beach Club as a place to stay on the island.

In May, in collaboration with the private sector, TCB hosted content creator Naomi Louwerens (Instagram: @AuthenticChica) and content manager for Nature Scanner, Manou Kemna, on the island. The focus of this media visit was to highlight unique boutique and exclusive accommodations, nature, and outdoor activities including volunteering opportunities, new experiences, and culinary tips on the island. Many island partners, such as Delfins Beach Resort, Puur Bonaire, Zara’s Bonaire, Cave Tours Bonaire, and more, were featured in their social media posts, stories and articles on NatureScanner.nl.
Bonaire was also featured on the airing of 24Kitchen’s promotional clip announcing the new cooking and travel program “Shirma’s Caribbean Flavors”, premiering on Disney’s digital cooking channel. Bonaire’s culinary experiences are the focus of three 22-minute episodes each, which will air starting July 13th. The three episodes focusing on Bonaire’s local cuisine include visits to Maiky Snack, John’s Ice Cream in Rincon, Nature Cooking School, Blue Lagun Café, and many more.

In July, TCB, in collaboration with Diamond PR and the private sector, will be hosting a press group from North America focusing on water-based activities on Bonaire and two Belgian travel journalists from De Zondag, Belgium’s largest national weekly paper with distribution in all 16 Flanders regions and has a reach of 1.5 million readers.
