Tourism Corporation Bonaire shares a recap of the outcome of PR efforts of July

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) is pleased to announce the July 2024 results of the various public relations efforts in partnership with Bonaire’s PR agency, Diamond Public Relations.

In July 2024, Bonaire received a mix of digital, print, and social media coverage, resulting in an overall reach of 14.5 million in North American markets and 19 million in European markets.

Top Highlights – North America
Top highlights from July include a great coverage story on TheTravel.com, showcasing Bonaire as one of the best and affordable Caribbean islands to live in and highlighting the island’s turquoise beaches, national park with pink flamingos and watersports, as a result of a journalist who visited the island in April. Bonaire was also featured in a stunning article on Honeymoons.com, in a story highlighting different things to do in Bonaire on your honeymoon. The story focuses on different experiences, such as a coral restoration snorkel tour with the Reef Renewal Foundation at Buddy Dive Resort, discover scuba dive with Dive Friends, windsurfing at Jibe City, sunset cruise with Melisa Sailing, must-try eateries on Bonaire, and Delfins Beach Resort as a perfect accommodation for a well-deserved getaway.

In July, TCB in collaboration with the private sector hosted a group of freelancer journalists and writers for The Manual and Honeymoons.com on Bonaire. The focus of the press trip was all things water activities, after all, the possibilities in Bonaire are endless.

The top pitching angles for July included last summer hurrahs, tropical villas, quiet travel destinations, off-season travel destinations, warm-weather destinations for the winter, and adventure travel.

Top Highlights – Europe
Top highlights from July include 3 separate articles on FoodiesMagazine.nl by culinary journalist Bas Erkens, as a result of his media visit to Bonaire in June. The 3 articles focus on his top 9 favorite fine dining culinary addresses on the island, which include Boutique Hotel Wanapa, Sorobon Luxury Beach Resort, CHEFS Bonaire, to name a few; his experiences during a tour of the Nature Cooking School, which included a breakfast in open nature, and his tips and insights for the best snacks on the island.

In July, TCB, in collaboration with the private sector, hosted 2 Belgian journalists from De Zondag, Belgium’s largest national weekly paper, which is distributed in all 16 Flanders regions and has a reach of 1.5 million readers.

The top pitching angles for July included culinary experiences in Bonaire, Regatta Bonaire 2024, and authentic experiences in Bonaire.

Upcoming
In the coming weeks, the Bonaire and Diamond Public Relations team will continue working on various media events and PR activations around the new JetBlue flights in New York City, and focusing on ongoing pitching efforts.
