Tourism Corporation Bonaire shares a recap of the outcome of PR efforts of April

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) happily shares the results of the different public relations efforts in partnership with Bonaire’s PR agency, Diamond Public Relations, for the month of April 2024.

In the month of April 2024, Bonaire received a mix of digital, print and social media coverage resulting in an overall reach of 15.3 million in North American markets and 1.5 million in European markets.

Top Highlights – Nort America
In April, TCB in collaboration with island partners hosted freelancer Christopher Elliott on Bonaire, on a working assignment in the Caribbean, resulting in a stunning feature on Forbes.com, highlighting the island’s effort towards sustainability, and shared insight into Buddy Dive Resort’s Reef Renewal Foundation, his experience at Nature Cooking School, including interviews and site visits at Qvillas Villa Kas Koral and Belnem House Bonaire.

Another highlight of the month is another story in Forbes, covering the best eco-friendly destinations to celebrate Earth Month, highlighting different eco-tourism experiences, including kayaking, coral restoration, hiking in the park, and wildlife on Bonaire. The story also highlights The Bonaire Bond, a pledge encouraging responsible tourism.

Other top highlights include an amazing Bonaire feature in Caribbean Living Magazine, as a result of the agency pitching, spotlighting all things new in Bonaire and why visitors should travel here this year. From solo adventures and activities to the culinary updates on the island, this story piece highlights 24 experiences for 2024 along with beautiful images to support the story.

Top Highlights – Europe
Top highlights of the month include an amazing coverage of the 35th edition of Dia di Rinon on the Dutch online platform Paginablog.nl, Allesoverbonaire.nl, and Verkeersbureaus.info, along with its newsletter. In addition, Reisbizz.nl published a 62-page Bonaire Special in their print magazine and online platform, featuring various Bonaire island partners, businesses and new entrepreneurs, water and land activities, and local gems. Reisbizz.nl is an online platform dedicated to business travel partners, travel agents and other travel professionals and organizations.

In April, TCB in collaboration with island partners also hosted a group of media consisting of American and German journalists and a Dutch photographer. The theme of this press trip is Bites & Nights, highlighting the island’s exclusive fine dining and after dark experiences. The result of this trip will be shared in the coming period.

Upcoming
In May, TCB will be hosting an individual press visit from Nature Scanner and Authentic Chica, from the Netherlands. Nature Scanner is the largest nature and outdoor platform in Benelux, with almost 3 million unique visitors and 5.5 million page views per year. Authentic Chica is an online platform run by Dutch freelancer, photographer, content creator and social media manager, Naomi Louwerens. With over 201 thousand followers on Instagram and 3 thousand monthly unique website visitors, she authentically shares her experiences on special destinations and travel tips with her followers.
