February 14, 2024

In the first month of 2024, TCB honored six visitors as ambassadors of Bonaire.

Lisa and Terry McQueen, who have been visiting Bonaire for 10 consecutive years, received a silver pin.

Leo Veseling and Michael Cain from the United States were honored for their 25 years of visiting Bonaire and received a gold pin. Leo is delighted with all the dive sites and the relaxed atmosphere of Bonaire. “After visiting Bonaire for many years, we have very nice memories of this island, where I got married,” says Michael Cain.

Rosemary Kurrti is also a visitor from the United States who has received recognition. She has been visiting Bonaire for 41 years. She visits 2 to 3 times a year. She is a member of the New York Big Apple Divers Scuba Club. On this occasion, a platinum plaque was presented to Rosemary.

Nevin Sayre, a Hall of Fame Windsurfer US-9 from the United States, was also honored. Nevin is the person who has brought our local windsurfers to international fame. Nevin has contributed greatly to our windsurfers, such as brothers Taty and Tonky Frans and their cousin Kiri Thodé. On Sunday, January 28, he celebrated his birthday. A group of friends led by Byron Tromp brought Nevin to the front, where he was honored and recognized as a Bonaire Ambassador and received a plaque.

Helen Mercera was responsible for the ceremonies for TCB and presented the certificates and associated pins and plaques to these new ambassadors.
