Preliminary numbers: Bonaire welcomed 15,984 stayover visitors during July 2026

 Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared preliminary tourism data for July 2026, revealing that Bonaire received 15,984 stayover visitors. This represents a 4% decrease from July 2025, when 16,653 visitors arrived.

Visitors from the Netherlands formed the largest group, accounting for 47.4% of total arrivals, with 7,574 visitors. US visitors were the second-largest group, accounting for 25.3% of arrivals and 4,044 visitors.

A total of 1,911 (12%) visitors from Curaçao visited the island, followed by Belgium with 268 (1.7%) visitors, Aruba with 247 (1.5%) visitors, Germany with 231 (1.4%) visitors, Switzerland with 206 (1.3%) visitors, Brazil with 166 (1%) visitors, Colombia with 156 (1%) visitors, Argentina with 153 (1%) visitors, and Canada with 105 (0.7%) visitors.

US visitors mainly traveled with a partner, followed by alone. Most came for vacation (52.7%), diving (40.9%), and visiting friends and family (3.4%). The majority stayed at a hotel (52.7%), a villa (14%), an apartment (7.9%), their own property (5.6%), or with a relative (4.6%). US visitors primarily came from Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, California, and Virginia. The age distribution showed that travelers aged 45-54 accounted for 20.2%, while those aged 55-64 accounted for 19%.

Dutch visitors were mainly families with children, followed by solo travelers. Most visitors came for vacation (77.2%), visited friends and family (8.3%), and for business (4.2%). Most visitors stayed at a hotel (46.2%), followed by an apartment (15.6%), a villa (11%), at a relative’s (10.8%), and their own property (5%). Most Dutch visitors came from North Holland, South Holland, North Brabant, Gelderland, and Utrecht, with the 45-54 age group (21.3%) and under 13 (15.2%) being the largest segments.
