Explore the Island in One Day

Bonaire, a beautiful island in the Caribbean Sea, is renowned for its white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and diverse natural wonders. As a tourist, exploring this island is an unforgettable experience. Today, we’ll take you on a journey through a typical day on Bonaire, filled with adventure, culture, and relaxation.

Early Morning: Breakfast in Town and Shopping

Your day begins with a delightful breakfast in the charming town of Kralendijk. There are numerous small eateries where you can relish fresh tropical fruits, freshly baked pastries, and local delicacies like pastechi. 10:00 AM: Island Tour Begins

2:00 PM: Windsurfing at Jibe City

After an active morning, it’s time for some adrenaline! Drive to Jibe City, a popular spot for windsurfers from around the world. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced windsurfer, the surf school offers excellent facilities and professional instructors to get you started. The crystal-clear waters and consistent winds make Bonaire a paradise for water sports enthusiasts.

Afternoon: History  and Biodiversity

Following windsurfing, drive to the Slave Huts, which bear witness to Bonaire’s colonial past. Continue your journey to the salt pier, where you have the opportunity to snorkel with turtles. The late afternoon hours often provide the best chance to observe these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

Sunset: Te Amo Beach and Plane Spotting

Conclude your day at Te Amo Beach, where you can relax on the white sand with a burger or a delicious wrap that you can take away from one of the food trucks  and enjoy the colorful sunset over the azure sea. The beach also offers a fantastic view of the Flamingo Airport runway, allowing you to watch planes flying overhead during landing – an unforgettable experience and a great way to end your day on Bonaire.
