February 4, 2025
Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB), together with 11 island partners, participated in the Duikvaker diving fair in Houten, The Netherlands, on February 1st and 2nd, 2025.
Annette Emerenciana, Marketing PR & Project Coordinator at TCB, and Jaedan Crestian, Bonairean Ambassador and student, represented the TCB booth. The Bonaire Pavilion partners for this year included 123 Car Rental, AB-Dive, Captain Don’s Habitat, Chogogo Beach & Dive Resort, Dive Friends Bonaire, FPA Sports Bonaire, Grand Windsock Bonaire, Oasis Guesthouse Bonaire, Scuba Elite Bonaire, VIP Diving, and WannaDive Bonaire. In addition, Buddy Dive Resort was also present with their own booth outside the Bonaire Pavilion.
During the 2-day fair, the Bonaire Pavilion attracted and welcomed thousands of visitors and dive enthusiasts who had visited the island before, as well as some who had heard about Bonaire and are planning a trip to the island soon. The Bonaire partners offered attractive diving, accommodation, and car rental packages in which visitors could secure and book theirs right away.
This year, once again, Bonaire participated in the Duikexpeditie during the Duikvaker fair. Duikexpeditie is an event that takes place during the Duikvaker fair, where children are able to collect stickers at the participating booths after completing an assignment. At the TCB booth, the children had to answer questions about Bonaire. If they answered correctly, they had the opportunity to play a fun game to win a prize.
On February 1st, the Bonaire Pavilion hosted a networking event that hundreds of fair exhibitors, visitors, and media partners attended. The networking event offered Bonaire and its partners a valuable opportunity to enhance its visibility among co-exhibitors, fair attendees, and media representatives, facilitating connections and partnerships with other dive schools, resorts, and car rental companies. Various local snacks made by Cedric Soleana were served, highlighting the island’s culinary delights. Behind the bar, Alexander Tromp – Bonairean Ambassador and student, served the pavilion guests while engaging in pleasant conversations about Bonaire.
Bonaire’s participation at the Duikvaker fair is a crucial element of a comprehensive marketing strategy designed to enhance awareness about the island and maintain its position as the region’s number one shore diving destination.
TCB would like to thank the island partners participating in this year’s Duikvaker fair.
