Bonaire welcomed 19,869 stayover visitors during March 2026

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared preliminary tourism data for March 2026, revealing that Bonaire received 19,869 stayover visitors. This represents an increase of 1.4% compared to March 2025, when 19,594 visitors arrived.

Visitors from the Netherlands formed the largest group, accounting for 43.5% of total arrivals, with 8,652 visitors. US visitors were the second-largest group, accounting for 28% of arrivals and 5,557 visitors.

A total of 1,599 (8%) visitors from Curaçao visited the island, followed by Canada with 1,017 (5.1%) visitors, Germany with 750 (3.8%) visitors, Belgium with 283 (1.4%) visitors, UK with 232 (1.2%) visitors, Aruba with 213 (1.1%) visitors, Switzerland with 155 (0.8%) visitors, Colombia with 134 (0.7%) visitors, and Brazil with 118 (0.6%) visitors

US visitors mainly traveled with a partner, followed by alone. Most came for vacation (57.7%), diving (30.9%), and visiting friends and family (2.7%). The majority stayed at a hotel (51.5%), a villa (16.3%), an apartment (8.3%), their own property (5.7%), or with a relative (4.4%). US visitors primarily came from Florida, New York, Texas, Pennsylvania, and Virginia. The age distribution showed that travelers aged 55-64 accounted for 20.9%, while those aged 45-54 accounted for 19.8% of visitors.

Dutch visitors were mainly those traveling with a partner, followed by solo travelers. Most visitors came for vacation (73.6%), visited friends and family (9.6%), and for business (5.6%). Most visitors stayed at a hotel (50.8%), followed by an apartment (17.3%), at a relative’s (9.8%), a villa (5.9%), and their own property (3.5%). Most Dutch visitors came from South Holland, North Holland, North Brabant, Gelderland, and Utrecht, with the 55-64 age group (28.3%) and the 25-34 age group (16.4%) being the largest segments.
