Bonaire welcomed 19,594 stayover visitors during March 2025

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared preliminary tourism data for March 2025, revealing that Bonaire received 19,594 stayover visitors. This represents a 7.8% increase compared to March 2024, when 18,169 visitors arrived.

Visitors from the Netherlands formed the largest group, accounting for 40% of total arrivals with 8,228 visitors. U.S. visitors were the second-largest group, making up 33.2% of arrivals with 6,514 visitors.

A total of 1,675 (8.5%) visitors from Curaçao visited the island, followed by Canada with 880 (4.5%) visitors, Germany with 441 (2.3%) visitors, Aruba with 262 (1.3%) visitors, Belgium with 239 (1.2%) visitors, Switzerland with 145 (0.7%) visitors, United Kingdom with 133 (0.7%) visitors, and Colombia with 112 (0.6%) visitors.

Most US visitors traveled with a partner, followed by alone. Most came for vacation (53.5%), and diving (32.6%). The majority stayed at a hotel (48.2%), a villa (16.4%), an apartment (8.1%), their own property (4.9%), or with a relative (3.6%). U.S. visitors primarily came from New York, Florida, California, Texas, and Pennsylvania. The age distribution revealed that mature travelers aged 55-64 represented 21.7% of the visitors, and those aged 45-64 comprised 20.6%.

The majority of Dutch visitors traveled with a partner and then alone. Most visitors came for vacation (69.1%), and to visit friends and family (10.7%). The majority of visitors stayed at a hotel (47.4%), followed by an apartment (15.3%), a relative (11.1%), a villa (5.6%), and their own property (4.4%). Most Dutch visitors came from South Holland, North Holland, North Brabant, Gelderland, and Utrecht, with the 55-64 age group (26.6%) and the 45-54 age group (17.9%) being the largest segments.
