Bonaire welcomed 17,908 stayover visitors during the month of February 2025

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared preliminary tourism data for February 2025, revealing that Bonaire received 17,908 stayover visitors. This marks an increase of 4% compared to February 2024, when 17,218 visitors arrived.

Visitors from the Netherlands formed the largest group, accounting for 43% of total arrivals with 7,713 visitors. U.S. visitors were the second-largest group, making up 31% of arrivals with 5,611 visitors.

A total of 1,354 (7.6%) visitors from Curaçao visited the island, followed by Canada with 943 (5.3%) visitors, Germany with 380 (2.1%) visitors, Belgium with 191 (1.1%) visitors, Aruba with 178 (1%) visitors, Switzerland with 147 (0.8%) visitors, Colombia with 147 (0.8%) visitors, and United Kingdom with 126 (0.7%) visitors.

Most US visitors traveled with a partner, followed by alone. Most came for vacation (57%), diving (27.6%), visiting friends (3%). The majority stayed at a hotel (48%), villa (14%), apartment (9%), own property (5%), relative (5%). U.S. visitors primarily came from New York, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and Michigan. The age distribution revealed that mature travelers aged 55-64 represented 27% of the visitors, and those aged 65+ comprised 23.4%.

The majority of Dutch visitors traveled with a partner and then alone. Most visitors came for vacation (71.1%), visiting friends (10%), business (5%), diving (1.7%). The majority of visitors stayed at a hotel (48%), followed by an apartment (17%), a relative (10%), a villa (6%), and their own property (4%). Most Dutch visitors came from North Holland, South Holland, Gelderland, Noord Brabant, and Utrecht, with the 55-64 (24%) and 45-54 (18%) age groups being the largest segments.
