Bonaire welcomed 16,653 stayover visitors during July 2025

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared preliminary tourism data for July 2025, revealing that Bonaire received 16,653 stayover visitors. This represents a 16.3% increase compared to July 2024, when 14,320 visitors arrived.

Visitors from the Netherlands formed the largest group, accounting for 46.3% of total arrivals, with 7,710 visitors. U.S. visitors were the second-largest group, making up 27.4% of arrivals with 4,565 visitors.

A total of 2,131 (12.8%) visitors from Curaçao visited the island, followed by Belgium with 362 (2.2%) visitors, Aruba with 278 (1.7%) visitors, Switzerland with 196 (1.2%) visitors, Germany with 174 (1%) visitors, Canada with 163 (1%) visitors, Colombia with 149 (0.9%) visitors, Brazil with 119 (0.7%) visitors, and UK with 76 (0.5%) visitors.

Most US visitors traveled alone, followed by with a partner. Most came for vacation (50.2%) and diving (35.4%). The majority stayed at a hotel (52%), a villa (12.4%), their own property (7.2%), an apartment (6.5%), or with a relative (4.3%). U.S. visitors primarily came from New York, Florida, Texas, Pennsylvania, and California. The age distribution revealed that travelers aged 45-54 represented 20.2% of the visitors, while those aged 55-64 comprised 18.6%.

Most Dutch visitors traveled with their children, followed by those who traveled alone. Most visitors came for vacation (75%) and to visit friends and family (8%). Most visitors stayed at a hotel (44%), followed by an apartment (14.8%), at a relative (10.9%), a villa (9.1%), and their own property (6%). Most Dutch visitors came from North Holland, South Holland, North Brabant, Gelderland, and Utrecht, with the 45-54 age group (20.6%) and the 18-24 age group (16.6%) being the largest segments.
