Bonaire welcomed 14,435 stayover visitors during August 2025

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared preliminary tourism data for August 2025, revealing that Bonaire received 14,435 stayover visitors. This represents a 15.6% increase compared to August 2024, when 12,483 visitors arrived.
Visitors from the Netherlands formed the largest group, accounting for 42.9% of total arrivals, with 6,192 visitors. US visitors were the second-largest group, making up 30.9% of arrivals with 4,459 visitors.
A total of 1,856 (12.9%) visitors from Curaçao visited the island, followed by Germany with 285 (2%) visitors, Aruba with 221 (1.5%) visitors, Belgium with 187 (1.3%) visitors, Colombia with 131 (0.9%) visitors, Canada with 117 (0.9%) visitors, Brazil with 85 (0.6%) visitors, Italy with 76 (0.5%) visitors, and UK with 74 (0.5%) visitors.
US visitors mainly traveled with a partner, followed by alone. Most came for vacation (48.3%) and diving (39%). The majority stayed at a hotel (56.8%), a villa (11.4%), an apartment (6.5%), their own property (6.2%), or with a relative (3.1%). US visitors primarily came from New York, Florida, California, Texas, and Pennsylvania. The age distribution revealed that travelers aged 55-64 represented 20.9% of the visitors, while those aged 45-54 comprised 20.7%.
Dutch visitors were mainly accompanied by their children, followed by those traveling alone. Most visitors came for vacation (71.4%) and visited friends and family (8.2%). Most visitors stayed at a hotel (49.3%), followed by an apartment (15.5%), at a relative (9.2%), a villa (7.2%), and their own property (4.2%). Most Dutch visitors came from South Holland, North Holland, Gelderland, Utrecht, and North Brabant, with the 45-54 age group (19.4%) and the 18-24 age group (16.3%) being the largest segments.
