Bonaire children experience cruise ship adventure through collaboration between TCB, Carnival Horizon, and Buki di Pret

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB), in collaboration with Carnival Horizon, Bonaire Harbor office, and Buki di Pret, successfully hosted the Bonaire Cruise Adventure for Kids, giving a group of local children a unique opportunity to experience life aboard a cruise ship.

The initiative was created to provide children from Bonaire with an educational and memorable experience while introducing them to the cruise tourism industry and the many opportunities connected to it. During the visit, the children explored different areas of the ship, learned more about the operations behind a cruise experience, and enjoyed a day filled with discovery, learning, and fun.

“Creating meaningful experiences for our local community is an important part of ensuring that tourism benefits the people of Bonaire,” said Elesiër Angel, CEO of Tourism Corporation Bonaire. “This collaboration allowed children to gain a better understanding of the cruise industry while experiencing something many of them may not have had the opportunity to do before.”

The event was made possible through the collaboration and support of Carnival Horizon, which welcomed the children on board and provided an engaging program, including a guided ship experience and lunch.

The safety and well-being of all participants remained a top priority throughout the day, with chaperones and organizers working together to ensure the children had a safe and enjoyable experience.
