Tourism Corporation Bonaire hosts fourth Tourism Scavenger Hunt in Rincon

As part of Tourism Month activities, Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) successfully hosted its fourth Tourism Scavenger Hunt on Saturday, September 19, 2026, in Rincon. The event brought together local children between the ages of 8 and 12 for an educational and enjoyable experience centered around various tourist and historical sites.

For the second year, Crystal Innovations provided TCB with a fun, interactive scavenger hunt in Rincon, encouraging young explorers to discover the neighborhood’s unique sites, character, and beauty.

This year, 9 teams participated, with each team consisting of five children accompanied by an adult. To add a creative touch to the challenge, this year’s theme was ‘nos kosecha’ (our harvest). Each team was assigned a crop such as okra, bell pepper, mispel, sorghum (maishi chiki), pumpkin, shimaruku, kenepa, lime, or papaya and had to incorporate it into their costume. The colorful and imaginative costumes brought an extra sense of fun and creativity to the event.

Throughout the various stops and activities around Rincon, participants learned more about Bonaire and its rich history. The event concluded with lunch at Kos Bon So, where all participants also received a participation gift courtesy of TCB.

The winners will be awarded during the upcoming Taste of Bonaire event on Saturday, September 26, marking the closing of Tourism Month.
