Preliminary numbers: Bonaire welcomed 13,387 stayover visitors during June 2026

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) has shared preliminary tourism data for June 2026, revealing that Bonaire received 13,387 stayover visitors. This represents a decrease of 1.6% compared to June 2025, when 13,606 visitors arrived.

Visitors from the Netherlands formed the largest group, accounting for 40.3% of total arrivals, with 5,389 visitors. US visitors were the second-largest group, accounting for 31.1% of arrivals and 4,163 visitors.

A total of 1,893 (14.1%) visitors from Curaçao visited the island, followed by Aruba with 264 (2%) visitors, Belgium with 230 (1.7%) visitors, Colombia with 166 (1.2%) visitors, Germany with 153 (1.1%) visitors, Canada with 100 (0.7%) visitors, Switzerland with 94 (0.7%) visitors, Argentina with 94 (0.7%) visitors, and Brazil with 84 (0.6%) visitors.

US visitors mainly traveled with a partner, followed by alone. Most came for vacation (48.5%), diving (40.3%), and visiting friends and family (3.1%). The majority stayed at a hotel (58.6%), a villa (11.6%), their own property (7.3%), an apartment (5.6%), or with a relative (4.1%). US visitors primarily came from Florida, Texas, California, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina. The age distribution showed that travelers aged 45-64 accounted for 20.6%, while those aged 55-64 accounted for 19.8%.

Dutch visitors were mainly solo travelers, followed by those traveling with a partner. Most visitors came for vacation (70%), visited friends and family (10.4%), and for business (6.8%). Most visitors stayed at a hotel (51.3%), followed by an apartment (13%), at a relative’s (11%), their own property (5.4%), and a villa (4.5%). Most Dutch visitors came from South Holland, North Holland, North Brabant, Gelderland, and Utrecht, with the 55-64 age group (23.5%) and 25-34 age group (20.6%) being the largest segments.
