Tourism Corporation Bonaire Reports Q1 2026 Public Relations Performance and Media Reach

April 14, 2026

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) reports a strong start to 2026, highlighting the results of Bonaire’s public relations efforts during the first quarter of the year. In the first quarter, Bonaire was featured in more than 55 international media articles, reaching an estimated total of 7.2 million readers worldwide. These results are driven by past pitching efforts and past and ongoing media hosting.

This year, TCB’s 2026 public relations strategy continues to focus on increasing awareness of Bonaire in key markets across North America and Europe by promoting experiences matching with the latest travel trends. These include culinary experiences, sustainable and eco-conscious travel, diving and marine conservation, family-friendly vacations, and outdoor adventure activities.

Top Hits – International Media
Bonaire received high-impact coverage in leading outlets such as Forbes, Travel and Leisure, MSN, The Travel, and Condé Nast Traveler. These coverages highlighted Bonaire as the leading destination for scuba diving, snorkeling, reef experiences, culinary offerings, family-friendly travel, sailing/land sailing, nature, and eco-adventures.

During the first quarter, TCB hosted several international media and content creators to showcase Bonaire’s diverse experiences. Among them was Sebastiaan Erkens from Foodies Travel and Foodies Magazine, who explored the island’s culinary scene, and the Little Welch Travelers, who showcased Bonaire as an ideal destination for families. Additional collaborations included photographer and blogger Bianca Kramer and videographer Claire Lee, who captured content highlighting Bonaire in general, the island’s vibrant food scene, diving, and reef restoration efforts.

Upcoming
Looking ahead, TCB continues its public relations efforts with several upcoming opportunities, including an upcoming Bonaire story in National Geographic Traveler Netherlands highlighting the island’s night skies, ostracod phenomenon, and culture, scheduled for publication later this year. Additionally, an ‘Island Getaway’ group press trip later in April will welcome international travel writers to experience Bonaire’s culture, outdoor adventures, and hospitality for upcoming features in multiple media outlets.
