Bonaire in the spotlight during the PSV-NEC match at the Philips Stadium
March 18, 2026
Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) organized a Bonaire Night on Saturday, March 14, during the match between PSV and NEC at the Philips Stadium in Eindhoven. The event took place in the Business Lounge and was attended by a little more than 800 PSV business partners. With this special evening, TCB aimed to bring Bonaire to the attention of an important target group within the Dutch business community.
The Bonaire evening is part of a broader partnership between the Public Entity of Bonaire (Openbaar Lichaam Bonaire – OLB) and PSV. As part of this partnership, TCB is responsible for marketing activities aimed at increasing Bonaire’s international visibility as a tourist destination.
During the event, Bonaire was represented by Marjolein Oleana, with the support of two Bonairean students: Sabine Schleper and Alexander Tromp. Together, they informed the guests in attendance about the many possibilities Bonaire has to offer as a vacation destination.
For this occasion, the entire floor of the Business Lounge had been transformed into a true Bonaire atmosphere. The space was decorated with photos of Bonaire and Bonaire flags.
Throughout the evening, visitors had the chance to further immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Bonaire. There was a photobooth where guests could take photos, and our local snacks were served, the famous pastechi. In addition, a live band created a lively and tropical ambiance.
TCB had also set up an information stand where visitors could learn more about Bonaire, its nature, activities, and accommodations on the island. One of the highlights of the evening was a special giveaway in which two people could win a trip to Bonaire. The prize consisted of a six-night stay on Bonaire, including flight tickets offered by Corendon and a stay at Delfins Beach Resort.
Bonaire also received significant exposure inside the stadium itself. During the match, Bonaire’s logo, slogan, and website appeared on the LED screens along the field, allowing tens of thousands of supporters in the stadium and television viewers to learn about the island.
TCB looks back on a very successful evening. The event offered a unique opportunity to showcase Bonaire to a large network of partners and contributed to increasing the island’s brand awareness.
TCB would also like to express its gratitude to PSV for the pleasant cooperation, and in particular to Daniël Verheijde and Job van de Loo, who played a key role in organizing and executing the Bonaire evening. In addition, TCB would like to extend its sincere thanks to Delfins Beach Resort and Corendon for their contribution to the giveaway, in which they provided a six-night stay on Bonaire and flight tickets to the island.
