Tourism Corporation Bonaire Announces Elesiër Angel as Interim Statutory Director of TCB

The Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Elesiër Angel as Interim Statutory Director, effective January 1, 2025.

Born and raised on the island of Bonaire, Elesiër “Ely” Angel brings a deep connection to the island and a wealth of experience in the tourism industry. Ely’s journey in tourism began at the remarkable age of 12, showcasing her passion and dedication to the tourism industry of Bonaire.

Ely holds a Master’s degree in Tourism Destination Management from Breda University in the Netherlands, which has equipped her with the knowledge and expertise to navigate the complexities of today’s global tourism landscape. Since joining TCB in 2021, Ely has played a pivotal role in the organization’s initiatives and strategies, contributing to Bonaire’s tourism growth.

Over the past four years, Ely has worked closely with outgoing CEO Miles B M Mercera, who will step down at the end of December 2024. Their collaboration has been instrumental in achieving key milestones for Bonaire’s tourism industry. Ely’s transition to this leadership role ensures continuity and builds on the foundation laid during Mercera’s tenure.
