Tourism Corporation Bonaire Invites Students to Participate in the 2025 FCCA Essay & Poster Competitions

Tourism Corporation Bonaire (TCB), in collaboration with the Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA), is excited to announce the launch of the 2025 FCCA Essay & Poster Competitions, open to all Bonaire students.

These annual competitions aim to spark creativity, promote environmental awareness, and encourage critical thinking among youth across the Caribbean, Mexico, Central, and South America. This is a valuable opportunity for students to share their ideas and showcase Bonaire’s uniqueness through their writing and artwork.

There are four competitions: Essay Junior Division, Poster Junior Division, Essay Senior Division, and Poster Senior Division. The junior division is for students ages 12 and under, and the senior division is for students ages 13 to 16.

Competition Themes

• Essay Theme: “If I were a cruise passenger, what would I like to see or do in my country?”
• Poster Theme: “How to Protect the Marine Environment from Land-Based Activities”

Three lucky students from Bonaire will be awarded fantastic prizes — including laptops and smartphones — for their outstanding work. Their achievements will also be honored at the international Seatrade 2026 conference, where awards will be presented to representatives of the winning destinations.

Students must complete and submit the official entry form, accompanying each essay and poster submission. The competition guidelines and forms are now available and can be obtained directly from the TCB.TCB encourages all teachers, schools, and parents to actively support this initiative by motivating students to participate. TCB will manage the program and support participants throughout the submission process. Details will follow shortly.
